It was a cold winter's night. The moon had started to shine through the clouds. A sharp wind blew that night. At a house in a small town, a woman was giving birth. Her agonizing pain lasted 12 hours. After a final push, a baby was born.

He came out with slight patches of hair on his head, each a different color. A patch on the left side of his head was pink, a patch in the middle was black, and a patch on his right was purple. The parents were baffled at such a sight. The doctor wasn't able to explain it as well. Just as the baby started to cry, the lights went out. The wind started to howl and the shutters started to bang. The front door flew open and let a huge gust of wintery snow cover the "welcome" mat.

A mysterious woman appeared through the blinding snow. She slowly walked into the house and fixed her eyes upon the newly born child. She slowly started to move her mouth. "This child is not born out of love" the woman said in a low tone, "this child was born out of evil. This child is the infamous demon cat that has ravaged our land for the last 3000 years." As the woman talked, the child's cries grew louder. The child's mother demanded that the old woman leave her house and never return. The old woman left and the child's cries grew silent. The mother didn't take the woman's words into consideration, she only thought that the child was her's and no one is going to change that.

After the night had passed, things seem to fall back into place. The parents then realized something important that they both spoke out in unison. "We forgot to name the baby!!!" The reason that they were so upset was that it is mandatory to have the name of the child into the main building by a certain time or a name would be given to them depending on the characteristics. The deadline to have the child's name delivered in by was 3:00 pm. They both looked up at the clock and saw that they only had 10 minutes to do this. They rushed through the paperwork and ran the baby to the main building. As they made it to the counter, they slammed the papers onto the desk. A woman ran her eyes over the papers and spoke out in a low tone, "you forgot to write the name." The parents snatched the papers and saw the grave mistake that they had made in their hurry. The clock had just struck 3, there was no more time. They looked at the woman and waited for her to place the name onto the baby. When they saw her face, they were even more devastated to realize that the woman that gave out the names, was the same old woman from last night. The old woman wrote the name on the piece of paper and handed it to them with the baby. The mother started to cry furiously. The old woman had wrote the name of the demon cat as the child's name. The child will now forever be known as Kichi Asumari.
